Screen Recording
Ovo Studios enables you to record
computer screens like never before:
- Any operating system (e.g., Windows, Macintosh,
UNIX/LINUX).
- Any resolution or aspect ratio up to 1600x1200
- No application install required on the user's computer.
- Continuous recording through a user computer reboot.
- Webex friendly: coexists with Webex for remote user tests.
- Live streaming of screen recordings to remote observers.
- 200 MB of disk space per hour of recording.
Some of our competitors require 1 GB+ per hour!
- Leverages Windows Media Video technologies -- no custom CODECs
for your customers to download and install.
- Concurrent capture of multiple operating systems running at multiple
resolutions up to a total of four screen recordings at one time. The remainder of the
eight possible sources may be used to
record NTSC or PAL camera video.

Two-source recording with 1024x768 Screen Recording and
Video
Recording (embedded face shot.) Resolution reduced for page layout.
Of course, all screen recordings adhere to Ovo Studios' modular
eight-source video architecture which enables:
- Removal of user face shot from video record via simple file
deletion, thus protecting user confidentiality if you distribute
copies of your test data.
- Time-stamp linking for all screen and video recording from
logged observations.
- Multi-source video highlight generation.

8-Source Recording
Ovo Studios' modular recording architecture enables simultaneous recording of up to
eight video sources.

Sample configurations include:
2 Sources: record the user's face and computer screen for a software usability test.
3 Sources: record the user's face, computer screen, and a piece of
hardware for an out-of-the-box test.
4 Sources: record two computer monitors and two
cameras for a two-user collaborative test.
...and so on up to eight video sources such as cameras, eye
tracking output, and computer screens.
