Ovo Solo - Logging
Once your test begins, Ovo Solo lets you describe events of interest at the exact point in the study where they occur. We call this process "logging."
The logging interface in Ovo Solo has been refined by a decade of customer feedback. You can log in as much (or as little) detail as you like, with logging options ranging from free-form notes, to categorical assignment, to QuickLogs. If you feel like it, you can even mark start/stop points for video of interest so your post-test highlights export can be automated.
Free-Form Logging
Free-form logging is the online equivalent of taking notes on a legal pad. You can type in whatever comment you want to describe a user interaction you think might be of interest. Free-form logging, like all logging strategies in Ovo Solo, marks exact point in the study where observations occur. During analysis, Ovo Solo has an extensive text search option to find commonality in free form logged notes.
Automated Highlight Generation
While logging a study, users can save highlight timing information (mark in/mark out) to automatically generate highlight clips during their post-study evaluation. This saves you the time of having to review unnecessary video and pick the start and stop time of your highlight clip.
Task Time and Success Tracking
In addition to straightforward timing, Ovo Solo allows you to time multiple iterations of a task for each user, pause and resume a task, restart a task that was stopped too early or abandon a task completely.
Categorical Logging
Sometimes, test administrators want to log events of interest by assigning them to pre-defined categories. Ovo Solo doesn't put any limitations on the depth or breadth of your categorical structure. Your categories can be completely independent, they can branch hierarchically, they can be task-specific, and the options could go on. Categories may be used in conjunction with free-form logging or they can be used in a stand alone fashion.
QuickLogs
For administrators who prefer to log with a single keyboard key press (e.g., L = Layout Problem) Ovo Solo supports QuickLogs which makes event logging as easy as pressing a button.
