Eye Tracking
In
response to numerous customer inquiries, Ovo Studios has incorporated
Tobii's eye
tracking technologies into our functional suite. For detailed information
about Tobii's products, contact sales@ovostudios.com.
The highlights of integrating Tobii's eye tracking solution
into an Ovo Studios lab are:
- Eye tracking gazepath data are output in real
time so test observers can see where users are looking.
- Screen recordings are annotated with gaze path
overlays.
Ovo Studios standardized on Tobii's eye tracking
technologies for the following reasons.
- User calibration is maintained even if they
need to take a break or step away from their desk
- No chin rest or headgear is required to
maintain user's gaze
- Hardware can accommodate head movements that
are fairly large and fast
- Eye tracking hardware is completely integrated
into a 20" LCD monitor capable of 1280 x 1024 resolution
- Requires a Pentium 4 computer, 2.2 Ghz minimum, 256
MB DDR RAM, Windows 2000, with Firewire interface.
This is the tool for instructional design, marketing
analysis, or any design endeavor where you want to have a detailed record
of what users were paying attention to.
Just like camera video
and user computer screen recordings, eye tracking data are treated like any other video source
as far as your logging and reporting are concerned.
Adherence to Ovo Studios' modular eight-source video architecture
enables:
- Removal of user face shot from video record via simple file
deletion, thus protecting user confidentiality if you distribute
copies of your test data.
- Time-stamp linking for all screen and video recording from
logged observations.
- Multi-source video highlight
generation.
